After introducing multiple Meta AI features, WhatsApp is reportedly working on a voice chat mode feature to communicate with Meta AI. This innovative mode will enable users to engage with Meta AI in a more intuitive and rapid manner through real-time voice interactions, allowing for effortless hands-free communication. This enhancement facilitates the conveyance of information or enquiries directly via voice, streamlining the user experience. WhatsApp is advancing its integration with Meta AI through ongoing developments in the iOS beta version, with plans to introduce additional customisation options, allowing users to tailor their chatbot experience and further streamline AI-driven conversations.
According to the WABetaInfo report, this upcoming feature will enhance the user experience by adding capabilities like turning on captions and transcriptions. These will convert speech into text in the conversation with the chatbot. This feature can be especially advantageous for individuals with hearing difficulties or those who prefer visual communication, as it provides an alternative to auditory interactions and allows them to engage with Meta AI in a more comfortable and accessible way.
Moreover, users will be able to configure the speech output of Meta AI according to their personal preferences. This includes options such as Full and Brief modes. The Full mode enables Meta AI to deliver in-depth, elaborate responses, ideal for intricate questions or situations where detailed information is necessary. In contrast, the Brief mode allows Meta AI to provide succinct, direct answers, catering to users who prefer quick, efficient interactions without unnecessary elaboration. This new customisation aims to help users make the communication experience more natural and personalised in the future, tailoring the interaction to their specific needs.
The new upcoming upgrade is aimed at generating AI-powered images of users. The upcoming feature will allow users to take a single set of photos, which will be created with the help of Meta AI. Users must take setup photos that will be analysed to create these images, ensuring that the generated images accurately represent their appearance. It is noteworthy that users will retain full control over this feature, as they can delete their setup photos at any time through the Meta AI settings.
Users can ask Meta AI to generate an image by typing “Imagine me” in the Meta AI chat. Additionally, users will be able to use this feature in other chats by typing “@Meta AI imagine me”. It is worth noting that Meta AI cannot read other messages, as the command is processed separately, and the resulting image message will automatically be shared in the conversation by the app, ensuring that user privacy is always preserved.
