Not all individuals who own land are eligible for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana benefits. Under the PM Kisan scheme, a yearly financial incentive of Rs 6000 is given to chosen farmers in three equal installments.
PM Kisan’s 13th installment of Rs 2000 was paid on February 27, 2023. The cash benefit is deposited directly into the bank accounts of qualified farmers via a system called Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The government has launched a Voluntary Surrender of PM Kisan benefits tab, where farmers who have been declared ineligible under the Pm Kisan Yojana can refund and receive an appreciation certificate from the government.
There are many farmers who are not eligible to receive benefits under the scheme. If you are one of the eligible farmers and want to refund the amount, here is how
How to voluntary surrender of PM Kisan benefits
Step 1: Visit PM kisan website (https://pmkisan.gov.in/)
Step 2: Scroll down and click on ‘voluntary surrender of pm-kisan benefits’ tab
Step 3: Enter Registration number, catcha code and click on Get OTP. (OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar Registered Mobile Number.)
Step 4: Once you enter OTP, it will display total installment received.
Step 5: Click ‘Yes’ on DO you wish to surrender your PM Kisan Benefit and enter OTP Your account will no longer receive benefits once you click on Yes.
Note that this is not a refund of benefits, it is surrendering for further benefits. After surrendering from the PM-KISAN scheme you will not be able to receive any further PM-KISAN cash benefits. You will also not be able to register again for the PM-KISAN scheme.
The following categories of beneficiaries of higher economic status shall not be eligible for benefit under the scheme.
- All Institutional Land holders.
- Farmer families which belong to one or more of the following categories:.
- Former and present holders of constitutional posts
- Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of LokSabha/ RajyaSabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils,former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
- All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies.. Read More
