A pair of train services will be partially cancelled on 29 June due to the engineering works in the Guntakal Division of South Central Railway, Southern Railways has said as reported by ANI.
As per the information shared Train No. 22616 from Coimbatore Junction-Tirupati and 22615 from Tirupati-Coimbatore Junction has been partially cancelled on 29 June.
As per Southern Railways, “Train No.22616 Coimbatore Junction-Tirupati (via Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai) Express, scheduled to leave Coimbatore Jn at 6.10 hrs, will be partially cancelled between Katpadi-Tirupati on June 29. The train will run from Coimbatore Junction to Katpadi only; it will not run from Katpadi to Tirupati,” Southern Railways said on Monday.
While “Train No.22615 Tirupati-Coimbatore Junction (via Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur) Express, scheduled to leave Tirupati at 15.00 hrs and reach Coimbatore Junction at 22.45 hrs, will be partially cancelled between Tirupati-Katpadi on June 29. The train will not run from Tirupati to Katpadi; it will leave from Katpadi and run up to Coimbatore Junction,” the statement added.
Yesterday, the South Railway had also rescheduled Train No.12840 Dr MGR Chennai Central–Howrah Superfast Mail which usually departs from Dr MGR Chennai Central at 7.20 pm to 5 am on 27th June. The delay was done due to late running of pairing rake.
“Train No.12840 Dr MGR Chennai Central–Howrah Superfast Mail scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 19.20 hrs on 26.06.2023 is rescheduled to leave at 05.00 hrs on 27.06.2023 (Tomorrow) due to late running of pairing rake (Late by 9 hrs 40 mins),” it wrote on Twitter.
In another announcement, Due to restoration work at Bahanaga Bazar in Odisha, the Southern Railways has also temporary cancelled train services of two trains.
Train no 22842 from Tambaram-Santragachi Antyodaya Express and Train No 22864 from SMVT Bengaluru-Howrah stands cancelled on 28 June.
