State Bank of India (SBI) has revised its locker rent charges which vary depending on location and size of the locker. It is also requesting its locker customers to contact their locker holding branch and execute the revised/supplementary locker agreement as applicable.
The Reserve Bank of India has directed all banks to ensure that at least 50% of their locker holders sign the new agreement by June 30, 2023. In addition, banks must have 75% of their clients sign the agreement by September 30 and reach 100% compliance by December 31.
SBI official Twitter account tweeted: “Bank has issued a revised/supplement locker agreement incorporating the customer’s rights. Customers availing locker facilities from SBI are requested to contact their locker holding branch and execute the revised/ supplement locker agreement as applicable.”
