Indian Railways is all set to flag off Bihar’s first Vande Bharat Express in June month. The trial run of the train is expected to begin in the next two days after its seven coaches reached Patna railway junction on Tuesday.

After reaching Patna Junction, the train was brought to Rajendra Nagar Terminal’s coach complex, reported LiveHindustan. The trial run of the Vande Bharat Express will be specially monitored by the Senior engineer of IFC Chennai. There has been no official announcement of the date when the Vande Bharat Express will begin its operation on the Patna-Ranchi route.

Railway officials have said that the exact date to inaugurate the Vande Bharat Express is likely to be introduced by this month. The proposed route of the Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express is also expected to be finalised soon.

Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat express features and facilities

The Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express will encompass five general and one luxury coach. The train will have a capacity of 530 passengers in a single journey with two loco pilots. The train will travel at a speed of 128 to 130 kmph.

The high-tech train is fully fireproof and contains a lot of safety measures for passengers.

The arrival of the Vande Bharat Express at Patna Junction was celebrated with cheerful clapping and selfie session, reported LiveHindustan. The train departed from Chennai’s Integral Coach Factory on June 3 at 5:10 pm.

Railway employees like loco pilots, and crew members, will undergo training before the beginning of the high-speed train.

Tentative route of Bihar’s first Vande Bharat Express

The proposed route of the Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express is also expected to be finalised soon. The Railway ministry is planning to run the Vande Bharat Express on the newly laid Patna-Gaya-Koderma-Hazaribagh Town-Barkakana-BIT Mesra-Tatisilwai-Ranchi route to cover an approximate distance of 378 kilometer, reported Times of India citing anonymous sources. The high-speed train will cover the journey in six to seven hours.

Currently, there are eighteen Vande Bharat Express operational on different routes across India. The first Vande Bharat express train was inaugurated on the New Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route in 2019.
