PM Kisan 17th Instalment Date 2024: When Can Beneficiaries Expect Next Instalment?

On February 28, 2024, the government released the 16th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme to all eligible farmers. The instalment, valued at over Rs 21,000 crore, was disbursed to more than 9 crore beneficiary farmers across the country. Beneficiary farmers are now expecting the 17th instalment of the scheme.

When Will Beneficiaries Receive the 17th Instalment?

The PM Kisan scheme releases instalments every four months, i.e. in three instalments each year in April-July, August-November and December-March.

Since the 16th instalment was released in February, the 17th instalment can be expected anytime in May. The exact date for the issuance of the next instalment is not fixed.

What is the PM KISAN Scheme?

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Sector Scheme aimed at providing income support to all landholding farmers’ families in the country.

The scheme aims to supplement their financial needs for procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs.

Under the PM-KISAN initiative, qualifying farmers receive Rs 2,000 every four months, totalling Rs 6,000 per year.

How to Check Your Name in the Beneficiary List in PM KISAN

To check if your name is on the beneficiary list:

Step 1: Go to https://pmkisan.gov.in/, the official website of PM Kisan.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Beneficiary list’ tab in the right corner of the page

Step 3: Select details from the drop-down such as state, district, sub-district, block, and village

Step 4: Press the ‘Get report’ tab

Step 5: The details of the beneficiary list will be displayed.

How to Update e-KYC Online?

To update eKYC online for the PM Kisan scheme:

Step 1: Go to PM-Kisan’s official website.

Step 2: Select the eKYC option found on the page’s right side.

Step 3: After entering the captcha code and Aadhar card number, click on search.

Step 4: Type in the phone number associated with your Aadhaar card.

Step 5: Choose ‘Get OTP’ and input the OTP into the designated space.

There are several reasons for the rejection of PM Kisan beneficiaries, including:

  • Duplicate Beneficiary Name
  • Incomplete KYC
  • Farmers belonging to the exclusion category
  • Wrong IFSC code in the application form
  • Closed, invalid, transferred, blocked, or frozen bank accounts
  • An Aadhaar card is not linked to the bank account
  • Missing mandatory fields
  • Invalid Bank or Post Office Name
  • The beneficiary Account number does not match the beneficiary code and scheme
  • Invalid Account and Aadhar
